Today is the Eighth day of the Eighth month of the Eighth year of this millennium. 080808 is a day that won’t come back for a hundred years…it’s a pretty big deal!
The Chinese like things that are ‘lucky’ or ‘auspicious’ because those things are where good fortune and prosperity live – they can help us grow our abundance. This is especially exemplified by the number 8; in Chinese, the number sounds phonetically like ‘fa’, which means ‘prosper’. Over time, the number has become linked with prosperity, wealth, abundance and good fortune. In fact, many Chinese people will pay extra fees to have a telephone number or car license plate with the number 8 in them because they are believed to be lucky.
Here in the West, the field of numerology also attributes positive qualities to the number 8 – it means power, material success, harvest, big business and leadership. Also, when you rotate the number 90 degrees, so it’s laying sideways, it becomes the symbol for infinity.
And symbols are the direct access to the energy contained within them. That means that you can use the number 8 to call in power, success and abundance for your life and business. Even more, if you choose to do that TODAY, the power is even more significant as you have cosmic timing on your side!
Three Ways to Call in the Power of 080808:
1. Give voice to what you want to see more of in your life – and this isn’t just about the money! Money is the key but it isn’t the result, which is what you really want, right? What will the money get for you in your life? What will you enjoy when you have the money to obtain it? THAT needs to be the focus of your intentions… sit down, close your eyes, and breathe into your belly just under your belly button (that’s your second chakra, which is the energetic center of money and finances in your body). In your mind’s eye, see yourself enjoying the fruits of your abundance… and experience how that feels in your body to truly manifest it. Your mind will experience that as a “happening now” so it will close the gap between where you are and what you are imagining in a real-world way. Tip: don’t watch yourself living in abundance – FEEL yourself living it from the inside out!
2. Call infinite power into your life through your body by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart. You can put your hands on your hips or have them hang to the side. Now move your hips in a circular motion – put your right hip in a right diagonal motion and swing it back so your left hip is now forward in a diagonal direction and swing that back. From an aerial view, it will appear that you are making a figure 8 with your hips. This both clears away energy that you don’t need and that could be holding you back as it calls in the power of the infinite as a positive energy source for you. And when you have the power of the infinite helping you to create, there are no limits on the good stuff!
3. Use the number 8 symbolically in your environment. You can get 8 candles, or a picture of 8 things or even draw the number 8 and hang it where you can see it comfortably from your desk. By placing the number 8 in your space, you are referencing and invoking the number of abundance. It is especially powerful today… essentially, you are jump-starting your ability to harvest success, prosperity and opportunities to create abundance.
One last tip: if you are out of alignment with your money in any way (you’ve been meaning to pay a bill, you need to invoice a client, you need to create a budget or handle your bookkeeping), this is the most auspicious day to get that handled. What could be better than getting yourself harmonically aligned with your money on the cosmically most auspicious day for abundance?
