Where you invest your energy is what expands in your world. The
same is true for your business… where you invest your time,
energy and resources is what expands in your business.

When you’re an active investor, you’re proactively engaging
with actualizing new ideas, seeking opportunities, handling the
sticky situations (vs. avoiding them) and giving that ‘extra
effort’ in creating your intentional future.

When you’re a passive investor, you’ve put something in your
business at some point, which might look like a little upfront
money, a website or a product, or maybe hired someone to run
your business. The idea is that you’re not actively in it on a
regular basis.

Like anything in life, there are advantages and disadvantages
either way.

Active investors are generally dynamic people, experiencing the
highs and the lows of their business, and choosing on a daily basis
to ‘course correct’ where there might be some wobble in reaching
their goals. They also become a key component to success so if
they’re not there, things could slow down or even stop.

Passive investors, if they KNOW they are passive investors, leverage
their time and resources by having diverse projects and revenue
streams. They hire expertise and trust their choices. And they also
may be the last to know if there’s a problem.

Now here’s the rub… many people don’t know that they are
passive investors in their businesses.

They think that if they just go to another class or do what
other people are doing or focus on having passive revenues
as a business end goal that it’s enough.

And it’s not.

There is a naivete that is perpetuated by many of the well-known
entrepreneurs, marketers and business teachers out there. Their
material suggests that you can make a fortune just by buying their
system and doing what they tell you. For me, it’s another form of
the ‘cubicle’ that many entrepreneurs are trying to escape.

The question is: why try to fit into someone else’s plan when
you can create your own?

The answer is that many people think it’s easier. Just follow
the dots and you’ll make a lot of money.

Naturally, I am compelled to point out that it requires you to set
aside your natural talents and develop skills to adapt someone else’s
system.

It also requires that you want the type of success that they’ve
created – and you don’t know what that looks like from the inside
out. You know only what they’re showing you on the surface. And
they’re only telling you what is most attractive.

In the case of someone who understands that their business is
actually the fastest path to growing themselves and to expressing
their highest purpose as value to clients who pay them for it,
following a cookie-cutter system isn’t likely to work.
(Actually, I wish it were that easy…!)

The secret is that the most successful businesses are the ones that
are congruent with the business owner. Their business growth
matched their personal growth. And usually they didn’t have a
playbook to follow in creating it.

I just had a conversation with someone who has spent five years
pursuing ‘the dream’ promoted by such marketers. He’s bought
programs and products, hired coaches, attended seminars,
spent years honing his skills and has created multiple different
products and websites.

At the end of it all, he was feeling discouraged and disheartened.
He realized that he bought into the smoke and mirrors illusion
just because it had really good marketing. And he was feeling
pretty flat about what to do next.

That’s when our conversation became the Catalyst for
considering something completely new. (Of course!) ;=)

When I work with my clients, my focus isn’t what they know…
it’s on who they are from their core essential self. Each person is
unique and has a reason for being that will otherwise not be
fulfilled in cosmic time and space.

That life purpose is your key to abundance… but not when
you focus on it with entitlement for it to produce money (which
is actually a lower vibration). AND when you give it a sacred
container from which it can grow in strength because power
cannot be actualized until it has been focused.

Anyway, by the time we completed our conversation, my client
now had a renewed sense of optimism, fresh perspective on
how to weave what really matters to him through his business
and was back in touch with his mojo.

Of course, everything he’s learned up until now will help him
in this next phase of business. But the key is that his business
is about HIM – not about someone else’s system.

Now he can be an active investor in the business of his life,
making a difference where it matters to him, using his innate
gifts and talents and desires to create value for which there
is no other option but for him to be paid through new clients.

Authentic value is always rewarded.

So, are you an active or a passive investor
in your business?

If you aren’t sure, or have confusion about what you’re
supposed to be doing, or feel like you’re off-track but don’t
know why, it’s time to get that sorted because your business
is suffering and, even more, you’re suffering.

Without clarity, it’s hard to take action that will produce
the outcomes you desire and intend.

I’m in the process of putting together a new program that will
focus on unlocking your soul’s karmic code in business.

This will be for a small group of committed people who desire to
transform their consciousness through business in a new way.
It will occur between November 14 and December 16, so it’s
coming up fast.

If you would like to be considered for this program to work with
me personally, please send me an email no later than this Friday,
November 4, 2011 with the following information:

* Who you are in 100 words or less

* A brief description of your business

* What’s not working in your business

* What will happen if this doesn’t get resolved

* Why you’re invested in creating a powerful shift by working with me

When I receive your response, I’ll be in touch with you to clarify
additional information about you, answer your questions and
provide details about the program.

To Maximizing Your Investment ~

Lynn

P.S.: A related adage for success here – taking action is a big part
of creating new results. If you have any interest at all in working
with me in unlocking your karmic code in business, I need your
response by this Friday. I’m looking forward to hearing from
you… :+)

Discover Your Treasure Within…

As a small business owner, you are your business. The
success of your business is directly tied to your energetic
state of being. This is a key facet of the power of feminine
energy as it relates to your business success.

In today’s business world, this subtle aspect is often
overlooked. The subtle, yet distinct, feminine energy within
your being is like a hidden treasure just waiting to be
discovered and harnessed for powerful new results in business.

Most business development programs focus on the obvious –
the outward, action-oriented, ‘doing’ part of business.

Masculine models of business are rationally based, easy to see
in the physical world and interwoven as core values of our
cultural programming to be ‘normal’ or ‘acceptable’ business.

And all of these things are important – no doubt about it. You
must have tools, take action and have follow-through systems
in the outer world to be successful.

In natural contrast, feminine energy is receptive, internal, not
easily visible and deals primarily with the subconscious aspects
of our inner way of being. It’s an unacknowledged aspect of
the dynamic energy cycle to being successful in life and business.

Learning to access feminine business energy principles is a
subtle process and quite different from what is taught and
perceived about ‘business’ as it has evolved up until now.

As a result, there are few teachers who recognize the inherent
power of the feminine aspect as a significant force in business,
where the ‘being’ state is acknowledged and cultivated as
the foundation for the ‘doing’ and ‘having’ as external results.

There are even fewer who know how to teach these principles
to others.

The Invitation…

My colleague, Morgan Taylor, and I are teaching visionary
entrepreneurs the eight pillars of feminine wisdom principles
as a direct path to realize business success as never before.

This training is called the Astarte Wisdom Series.

Astarte was a primary goddess who embodied feminine energy
and transcended several ancient cultures with different names in
each one. Regardless of the culture, the timeless wisdom remains
for us to access today. (And it’s not about gender…!!!)

The Astarte Wisdom Series provides you with a unique
opportunity in understanding each of the eight pillars of
feminine wisdom in order to incorporate them for what
could be dramatic business results.

www.AstarteBusinessArts.com

The Details…

This tele-series consists of three classes offered on three
consecutive Thursday evenings (U.S. time), beginning
next week on October 20th. And audios will be provided
to registered participants afterward.

Each teleclass is designed to delve more deeply into each
of the eight pillars that are at the heart of the Astarte
Wisdom teachings:

1. Mastering Wisdom

2. The Art of Allowing

3. Creating The Vessel

4. Embodying Power

5. Claiming The Treasure Within

6. Bridge-Weaving

7. Discerning Truth

8. Communicating The Space Between

Not only will you receive practical tools you can use right
away to grow your business with more clarity, there will
be time to answer your specific personal questions.

Insights are one thing, but knowing what to do with them in
your exact situation is the superfuel to new results.

Harness feminine business wisdom for maximized business
results by participating in the Astarte Wisdom TeleSeries.

So I was waiting while a DVD played in the background. Normally
I tune out and focus on my messages but this time three words
caught my attention:

“Insufficient Reward Syndrome”

Say WHAT???

(It resonated so loud with me on behalf of all entrepreneurs
everywhere that I may just have to have my hearing
tested…!) ;=)

Naturally, I had to do a little more research.

The DVD that clanged this concept into my brain was referencing a
biological neurotransmitter deficiency that prevents people from
feeling happy.

But listen to this… according to “Behavior Therapy in Dealing With
Depression” (the only source in non-medical geek speak resource I
could find), there are four factors that apply in a behavior to
positive reinforcement ratio.

The idea is that you can predict behavior based on positive
reinforcement (or lack of it). (Can you feel your entrepreneurial
cells reaching for the light yet?)

The four factors are:
1. Frequency of positive rewards
2. Amount of positive rewards
3. The duration and continuation of the rewards once started
4. The amount of effort required to produce expected behavior

In other words, if your rewards are infrequent, too conservative
and/or prone to stopping even though the behavioral demands
continue, you’re going to suffer ‘insufficient rewards syndrome’.

Even more, if the effort to perform increases, the behavior to
reinforcement ratio also increases and, if not met, also results in a
deficient rewards syndrome state.

The bottom line is that the quality of your life and health depends
on your ability to reward yourself consistently in proportion to the
effort you’re putting out. It helps you to stay motivated and in joy.

That being said, as an entrepreneur, chances are you’re focusing
on your bottom line rather than your body when you’re deciding
whether to give yourself a reward like time off, a new toy or a
frivolous expenditure.

Rewards don’t have to be expensive… but they are vital to your
well-being.

So the teaching is that you must work and play in proportion.

Because the cost of NOT giving yourself rewards as you go is far
greater to your emotional, psychological and biological health than
the cost of the reward itself in time or money.

(And at the very least, I figure it’s important that I lead by
example and I haaave had my eye on that awesome crystal singing
bowl…) ;=)

To Rewards As Vital Keys to Your Health and Success… ~~~

Lynn

P.S.: If you want to listen to one of the rewards I like to play
during my breaks for blissful little 26 minute mini-vacations, check
out this song, Sound Is Divine, by Sheila Chandra:

http://youtu.be/K2_EkiWp1FM

There’s a quickening that happens as people get ready to settle in for our ‘regularly scheduled’ year. It’s soon back to school and back to work. Your happiness depends on your proactive choices. Getting a jumpstart on getting back in your groove is a lot easier when the quickening energy helps carry you… so make the choice to do so and your happiness will reward you for it.

Fall is already coming… the signs say so. There are ‘back to school’ ads, people talking about the cooling weather in other parts of the country and sweaters are displayed in the stores (and that’s a real brain-bender when it’s 102 degrees outside here in Austin, TX!).

The point is this… the fall season makes people hearts beat a little faster.

There’s a quickening that happens as people get ready to settle in for our ‘regularly scheduled’ year. It’s soon back to school and back to work.

By the way, this means there are only 138 days left in the year in which to complete your annual goals (we’re two-thirds through 2011).

So, in order to make the most of the energy of this incoming season, it’s important to focus on what’s important.

In fact, here are three things you can do right now:

Take the time to go through your priorities as you outlined them in January to see what’s left for you to do – then follow-through with actualizing and implementing a plan.

Use the longer days of daylight that we still have to get in an extra hour on your to do list to get some new momentum going.

Leave me a note about your focus and your action commitment for the next 7 days – that ensures your clarity and engages your energy to make it happen.

By the way, Deepak Chopra says that 40% of our happiness depends on engaging in activities that express our creativity and/or make other people happy through voluntary, intentional choices.

(To round out the happiness formula, 50% depends on whether you see problems or opportunities in your world, and the other 10% of your happiness is based on your living conditions.)

To see his short video on that, click here: http://youtu.be/qKwZXhOXSa8

My intention in sharing the happiness formula is simple: you can choose to be fully present in your life and proactively work your business or not – both the choice and consequence is yours.

However, it’s a lot easier to do when the energy can help carry you along to get your groove back… so take advantage of the quickening energy to get a jumpstart on completing your priorities this year. (And bonus! You’ll be happier because you’re actively choosing it!).

So, here’s to the quickening and your happiness… be sure to leave me your focus / commitment comment below… :+)

It’s probably the number one question that people who work with me
want to answer in some form:

What is my life purpose and how can I do it to make a good living at
the same time?

Underneath this question is the hope that it’s possible to live well
while doing what you love (although it’s a hidden wish rather than a
credible goal because our cultural norms tell you it’s not
impossible!).

Just look at traditional business to know that it can be soul-sucking
when the work you’re doing is not for you.

There are only three basic things needed to live well and do what
you love:

* You have to desire it.
* You have to be clear in your focus.
* You have to be committed to taking action.

Sounds easy, right?

Here’s the secret…

It IS easy… when you know exactly what to do!

After helping more than 5,000 entrepreneurs over the last fourteen
years to gain clarity on their path to personal and business success,
I’m doing something I’ve NEVER done before…

I’m partnering with a colleague to provide a service for those who
are ready for it.

(Read on to learn if this is for you…)

–>> The Program <<–

Independently, my project partner and I have each walked the path
of practical spirituality as a way of being.

In the language of spirit, we each help our clients to get out there
and shine their light brighter.

In the language of business, we each help our clients build their
unique and authentic platforms from which to unite their life
with their livelihood.

We’ve each brought our own tools and unique approach to the
process, helping change the world one person, one purpose,
one business at a time.

–>> The Partnership <<–

A quick introduction to my project partner here:

For those of you who know David Favor here in Austin, you know
just how big this opportunity is… he’s the guy who you want to do a
mind meld with because he’s probably forgotten more than most people
learn about vitality in life and business.

David has owned a successful software firm, consulted with big tech
companies and built a super foods mega-empire.

He’s a business mogul for sure, with a results-orientation and the
ability to leverage technology to the limits.

He’s also pushed the edge of understanding self-awareness in ways
that stretch the imagination.

As a result, he’s tapped into levels of consciousness in a profound
way that few people are willing to experience.

(Now you begin to see the connection, right?)

–>> The Invitation <<–

So, for the first time EVER, I invite you to work with both of us
in an innovative 30-day jumpstart program designed to help you live
well by doing what you love.

During this program, you will have unlimited access to mentoring and
business consultation from one, the other or even both of us
simultaneously if it’s needed to create momentum in your business.

This program is intentionally about helping you take the right action
to create new results in your business.

As you take action, you let us know that you’re ready for the next
step that is personalized exactly to you and your business. It’s
all about accountability and getting ‘it’ handled.

By the way, taking action is what brings up issues that you have yet
to discover that hold you back because it is only through motion that
we experience new vistas and, therefore, grow.

Growth is uncomfortable exactly because you are going beyond what’s
known, familiar and expected. You will be uncomfortable; however,
this discomfort can be minimized with expert guidance along with
clear, directed and focused action.

Humans choose our path to growth as we step into being of service
as expressed through business. Business is not for the faint of heart
because you see the results of your beliefs manifested externally in
your livelihood.

Without support or direction, people flounder as business owners as
they are embroiled in the gunk of their beliefs but can’t see what
that actually means or actively creates.

The same energy that created a problem cannot solve it – human
beings require fresh input to gain new perspective and, as a natural
by-product, create new results.

This innovative new program can support you on many levels of
growth that occur simultaneously in your daily commitment to living
well while doing what you love.

Whether you are not yet in business, new to business or are
established in business, we will move forward from where you are –
it doesn’t matter where you start from in order for this to be
relevant because it is customized to you and your clarity.

Essentially, it is the ultimate in an ‘adaptive’ program, meaning
that it adapts to you anywhere you are in the continuum of
personal and business development.

–>> The Twist <<–

So, here’s the twist – you are accountable to yourself for the
progress you make within this program. We will simply match you in
your readiness.

If you do twenty action items, you’ll have twenty connection
points with us; if you do two things, you’ll have two.

Your pace will be determined by you during the thirty days we
work together.

Your progress will be assured by working with two experts in
creating conscious business results.

Your purpose will be expressing as profits increase in your business.

–>> The Caveats <<–

A few caveats for the 30-Day Live Well By Doing What You Love
Intensive Program:

1. We don’t know if we’ll offer it again. (Truly… you know
that transparency is a key value for me – I want you to know
everything about this opportunity from the beginning.)

2. We have limited room in our schedules to accommodate people
so we’re planning to support just twelve people at this level.

3. It’s first-come, first-considered.

4. It is not a cookie-cutter program so you can’t ‘hide’ in
a group teleclass. This is all about you. :+)

–>> The Next Step <<–

There is an application process for this program that, if you’re
interested, you’ll need to invest a few minutes in… once we receive
that, we’ll be determining both the degree of potential congruence
as a 30-day team together and your level of readiness to create
dramatic change in the results you’ve had up until now.

One last note: each of charges several hundred dollars an hour for
our private consultation services; in fact, David hasn’t worked with
private clients in the last five years (his super foods empire is
providing a very comfortable living).

We’re doing this now because:

a) we’ve developed a great working relationship, and,
b) have been guided to know the mutual value in supporting you in
living well by doing what you love because you’re in my world.

So, our fee for this leading-edge, just-for-you 30-day intensive
consulting program?

Just $497.

Kate, if you’re interested in participating,
complete the application below to let us know that you are ready
to take your life and business love to the next level…
and we’ll be in touch with you within the next 24 hours
(at the outside) to let you know what comes next.

“Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.” ~ Albert Einstein

In working with my clients, they often express doubt as to the value of what they have to offer anybody, much less for money. They are called to contribute and, even more, know it’s through creating a unique service or product which naturally means through their own business. (Sometimes they don’t know they’re in business, but that’s another story.) The point is that they don’t know or actively cultivate their own mastery.

According to Michael Masterson, there are four levels of proficiency in any valuable skill – incompetence, competence, mastery and virtuosity.

This is also what Malcolm Gladwell says in his best-selling book, The Outliers, where he observes that it takes about 10,000 hours for a person to become the best in his or her field.

When we look at people who have mastered their life art, we see only the results (not the hours of practice). Whether an athlete like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods, an actor like Angelina Jolie or Robert Downey, Jr, an expert interviewer like Oprah or Barbara Walters, what we see is that they make it look easy.

But you don’t have to achieve that level of celebrity to be a master of your gift.

To master your gift, you need commitment, humility, time and a good teacher. It helps to feel your gift as a calling, a natural resonance with what you know you are to do even if you don’t know how to do it or what that means… because you will figure it out as you go.

In my case, I didn’t know how to be a Catalyst when that was presented to me 14 years ago. People ask me ‘how did you get to be a Catalyst?’ and I tell them that I didn’t really have a choice. I was compelled to follow the energy and swashbuckle my way through time and space and grow myself into it. Back then, being a catalyst was like saying I had a third head (now it’s a job description!).

I had no idea what to do so I did what made sense at the time – I studied what felt right (even if it didn’t feel good in the moment) and I practiced. My natural gift is to translate energy into concepts, words and action; specifically, it’s to help people understand how to shine their light brighter in unique contribution. And I have natural talents to support that – intuition, an ability with words, a healer’s heart. Beyond that, there wasn’t any employer who was going to hire me to do what I am so gifted at doing, so I had to create my own livelihood.

To create a livelihood means knowing your value, being able to articulate it in a meaningful way, put it into a form or package that people can access, marketing it so the people who need and want it can find you, delivering the service and following through on the relationships created as a result. When I started out, I had no idea that meant I had to understand all the facets of business, along with developing and practicing my craft, while trying to make a living for myself.

Now I know the shortcuts, mostly because I took the long way to learn them. At the time I started my business, there weren’t people who specialized in translating esoteric gifts into business success. I had to take the traditional models of business and adapt them. And that’s now part of what I teach. There wasn’t anyone who could help me interpret my true value into a marketable system so I had to flub my way through that; now I know the gift of that experience is that I can now do it easily for others who have unique transformational gifts and want to share them with others.

The point is that there is a formula for mastery. At the risk of being simplistic, in a nutshell, here it is:

Step One: Identify your gift, your soul’s calling, your life purpose (at the very least, a direction in which you feel called to explore).

Step Two: Give yourself a break when you discover that it’s big. Remember that you’re just starting out and find a teacher to start practicing effectively (the more you practice, the greater your mastery but it helps to know what you need to practice and have support in taking care of mental blocks that will come up).

Step Three: Resist the urge to get to a basic level of competence and try to wing it from there. It’s a common mistake but you must continue to actively grow yourself to meet your gift for mastery. That’s the difference between a technician and a master.

Step Four: Trust the process and have fun along the way. If it’s not fun, it’s not natural for you. (And fun doesn’t have to be the big highs; fun can be quiet contentment and celebrating little victories.)

Step Five: Stay open to receive what you need; keep a beginner’s mind to stay fresh even as you gain experience.

Step Six: Claim your mastery as you achieve it.

I remember that I had been practicing Feng Shui professionally (which means for money) for about eight years when someone called me a Feng Shui master. I almost fell over and declined the title, saying that I still had so much to learn. That person proceeded to walk me through what it takes to get to my level of expertise as compared to a journey through our educational system, pointing out that I had ‘graduated’ with my degree several years back. My humility and my beginner’s mind were enmeshed the point where I wasn’t claiming my mastery, and that didn’t serve me (or my clients) either. So there is a balance that you’ll need to find there for yourself.

According to Michael, to rise from competence to mastery, you can expect to put in a total of 5,000 hours of concentrated effort. You can accelerate the pace and compress your learning curve by finding a master to train you.

Once you achieve mastery, you have to decide to pursue being a virtuoso because once you achieve mastery, the real work begins. The way you used to live your life is no longer accessible. You are now responsible for all that you know, and it comes effortlessly to you. But you can no longer be unconscious about your gift and are accountable for how you choose to channel it. It’s not for the faint of heart.

That being said, you may be a natural master and not need 10,000 hours to develop your gift(s). You may be able to quantum leap your mastery.

However, of all the people who are out in the world in your industry, think about who you believe is truly a master of their craft. You know them when you find them. I would say you probably won’t think of many (although the numbers are growing as people claim their authentic power).

If you want to do what you love and make a living at it, there is another mastery growth process that runs concurrently with mastering your gifts. And that is learning how to be a successful business owner. This is the one that is actually less natural and so will take more energy. But if you want to make a living by doing what you love, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to do it without learning how to be a successful business owner.

Again, you can compress your learning curve by working with a teacher or mentor. If I would have been able to find that, it would have accelerated my journey by at least a third (if not by half!).

I do have to give credit to the people I chose to work with along the way, as they gave me the best that they had and helped me create a broad range of tools to pull from in working with my clients now. I hired who I thought would be best to help me and created my experience as I went; now, my intention is to help people who don’t want to choose between making a living and doing what they love. And who want to do it as quickly and efficiently as possible by leveraging my experience for their benefit.

So, you can be very successful by achieving mastery. Learn and live into your life purpose and natural gift with mastery. Get instruction. Practice well. Stay open. Choose whether to share it with the world. If yes, let the world pay you back for your dedication by giving you a fair exchange in the form of money. And put the system in place to make that happen by creating your business.

NOTE: If you do want to save time, energy and valuable resources in your mastery process by hiring a mentor, let me know what you feel would benefit you the most from such a teacher by leaving me a comment below. Thank you in advance.

The word ‘right’ for me means right-brain, which translates to intuitively honoring the optimal choice or investment of time and energy. The right priorities are not always the obvious priorities.

In fact, you may think you need to focus on something but find yourself drawn to something else – afterward, you realize that you weren’t in the mood to do the first one which would have meant you were pushing for it and that makes everything hard.

Humans have a basic need for variety, but they also have a need for stability. The way that I recommend we balance these two needs for our best focus is to have a ‘shopping list’ of things to get done, and then when you have time, look at your list. The first priorities are any that have deadlines (or life lines, as I prefer to call them). If there is a time commitment, that is what needs to be handled first.

From there, if you have time that you can put into something you choose, make sure you have your list handy and then do what’s called ‘eye dowsing’ – see what jumps out at you first. Whatever you see or notice first is generally where the natural energy is most intense or flowing, so that will be the priority that will be your next ‘right’ choice to take action on.

By honoring the energy of what is ‘right’ for you in right sequence and right timing, you can create a systematic flow that may defy the mind’s literal organization and that opens up to enhanced opportunities.

Now for the best way to focus on your ‘right’ priorities: the word ‘right’ for me means right-brain – so intuitively honoring the optimal choice or investment of time and energy. The right priorities are not always the obvious priorities.

In fact, you may think you need to focus on something but find yourself drawn to something else – afterward, you realize that you weren’t in the mood to do the first one which would have meant you were pushing for it and that makes everything hard.

Please leave me a comment and let me know how this helps you prioritize all that you have working for you on your desk and in your business right now – I’d love to hear! :+)

One of the greatest benefits of being an entrepreneur is having the freedom to do what you want when you want… and that can be a bit daunting when you’re actually living it. With focus and proper support through the pillars of success for energy-aware entrepreneuring, you can find your way to freedom.

Following are the six pillars of successful, soul-full entrepreneuring:

1. Be inspired. Inspire as a word actually references the breath of spirit, and that’s the lightest energy that can pull you forward into great achievement and productivity. To capture inspiration throughout your day, have a special notebook or place to jot what moves you. To be inspiration in motion, stay in positive momentum and connect with others.

2. Have a vision. Vision is different from sight – vision is what your inner eye sees while sight is what your outer eye sees. Have a vision about your own footprint, the difference you are making in the world and then move toward that in the choices you make and things you do.

3. Look up. Look up to heroes, mentors and masters, the greats who have gone before you to learn their wisdom. Look up to the expanse of the sky to remember the only limitations you have are the ones you place on yourself. Look up to connect to Source energy, whatever you call it – remind yourself that you are here as a physical representation of an energy far greater than what can be known in mere words.

4. Translate your essence through your work. Take your gifts, perspective, experience, expertise, skills, personality, energy and who you are through your work to contribute in a bigger way. Don’t do it like everybody else – do it from the inside out to create freedom for yourself and be the light for others to follow.

5. Choose and go. The most powerful force on the planet is the power of choice; everything comes from choosing it, even love. You have to choose to love and be loved. Once you choose, follow through on that choice. Be committed, take action, follow where it leads you to create new experiences and results.

6. Connect. Finding like-spirited, not just like-minded, people to connect with is vital. Humans are social creatures and if we don’t have a sense of belonging somewhere, we are challenged on a primal level for survival – when in that survival energy, we tend to attract survival experiences. Connect with people who can understand and support you to grow you and your business.

I’d love to hear any ‘pillars’ you rely on for your success… please leave me a comment below to let me know! Thanks in advance… :+)

Everything is energy; quantum physicists are proving that daily, and that includes your business. If your business feels stuck or you know it could be better, this is vital information you can use right away. Knowing these triggers as keys to unlocking your business potential can save you time, resources and money by identifying what you might not even recognize as an issue.

Here are the top ten energy keys to having your most successful business.

1. Your business grows as you get your ‘stuff’ handled; that is, your business can grow only as fast as you do. If you haven’t invested in your own personal development, that will limit your business growth because your business will reflect your limitations.

2. Fear is a sign that you’re going beyond your comfort zone; if you don’t experience fear at least once a week, you’re not challenging yourself nor innovating beyond where you’ve been – if you’re ok with that, great! But if you’re feeling stuck, it’s time to make friends with fear.

3. Your job is to stay clear on the priorities so your business can do what it needs to do. There’s a lot of details to operationally running a business, including making sure your customers are happy, so you have to constantly and consistently sort through the details and make sure you’re focused on the priorities. Ideally, you’ll get systems in place to help you do that.

4. Fail forward faster; that is, don’t get stuck in what didn’t work. Instead, go out and do something different and do it as quickly as possible to minimize the loss of the thing that didn’t work. However, as I say that, make sure that you’re really managing a failure – sometimes entrepreneurs throw a marketing campaign out there but then think it’s failed after the first week when there’s been little response. You’ve got to know when to give something time and when to call it done. Fail forward faster.

5. Your environment is the outer reflection of what’s happening in your inner world; make sure that your environment is clean, organized, functional and aesthetically pleasing. I am a former Feng Shui practitioner and I can tell you stories about how powerful this is… essentially, your environment can communicate with your inner world as well so by handling your external environment, your inner world can change. It’s hard to have a bad day when you’re working on your business from your private mansion on the Mediterranean coast, right?

6. You aren’t your business, but it is you – so it’s taking cues from your pace and tone. If you’re having a bad day, your business will likely experience some speedbumps. If you’re in a generous and happy place, it’s likely that all kinds of great relationships and new opportunities show up in your business. Make sure you are honoring yourself first, and your business will reflect your positive energy.

7. Make decisions from a place of strength, not opinion, need for external validation, fear or scarcity. Any of those energies will corrupt your decision and limit the possibilities in whatever decision you are making.

8. Procrastination is actually the delay of pleasure; if you’re putting things off, look at what you’re denying yourself by focusing on the thing that you’re putting off. And really, if you want something bad enough, you don’t procrastinate – just ask anybody who has had a craving at midnight for Chunky Monkey ice cream!

9. You’ve got to make sure you ‘flip the switch’ in your head from being employed to being self-employed. There is no one to motivate you when you work for yourself, and no one else can take the blame or the reward for what you do. Work the hours that feel good. Dress the way that you like. Ask for permission when appropriate, but it’s actually better to ask for forgiveness as a business owner – most of the time, when you’re aligned with positive power energy, people will say yes to any reasonable request anyway… but it takes more time to get their answer than just doing it.

10. Don’t waste time looping in situations. Instead, do what I call ‘break state’, which is to stop the stuck or looping energy with anything – a conversation, music, taking a drive, going for a walk or a movie – and then seeing the pattern you’re in from a fresh perspective. Once you have that new view on what you’re experiencing – and remember, anything that’s happening is inviting you to grow to your next best level – so once you have the new view, choose something different from that conscious, aware perspective you now have.

And now, I want to hear from you… what’s tripping you up in understanding or handling challenges in your business? Drop me a line and let me know… (maybe I can give you a shout out back that can help?)

You might have seen on my Facebook page a few weeks ago that I had a serious injury on my way to Orlando to speak at the SuccessNet.org conference. That was the culminating tipping point that followed a huge push of energy to continue running my business as usual, but then also to move my home, attend two other conferences (CA and AZ) while focusing on my physical wellness as a priority in a new way. And my body said ‘stop’ – literally.

I knew it the minute it happened – my back twisted the wrong way with loading my luggage in the car. By the time I got to Orlando seven hours later, I needed a wheelchair assist to make my way to the hotel.

That night, I couldn’t sit, stand, stretch, lay down, walk or sleep. It was one of the longest nights I’ve ever had, with about two hours of sleep – and not the one I like to have before getting in front of a lot of people to teach innovative concepts in business. I was really afraid that I wouldn’t recover since the pain was so intense with even the slightest movement.

Thanks to my amazing physician, and the help of everyone at the conference (both physically and energetically), I was able to not only make it through my presentation but had a great time doing it.

My greatest joy in that moment was when I saw entrepreneurs giving each other meaningful intuitive messages about business to each other as a result of the techniques I had just taught… for some, it was life-changing to both receive their messages and to be able to give them to their partner. It was amazing to see energy in action to help them know how to create success with a fresh perspective.

Originally, my intention had been to stay in Florida for nearly a week, but I quickly realized that was not in the best interest of my health. I cut my visit short to the earliest possible flight and returned home within 72 hours.

It was a harrowing trip; however, the strangers I met along the way became my reminders of the divine light in people. They didn’t know what I was up against… only that I was clearly in pain and physically compromised, and so, they lifted my luggage, got me through security and scooped me up in a wheelchair when I was too exhausted to do anything but lean against an airport wall. (I tried the Zha Zha Gabor glamour-look by wearing my sunglasses, but the tears rolling out from under them gave me away.)

Although I rarely share my personal difficulties with you, I am compelled to share this with you for two reasons.

Before I get to them, you should know that within 48 hours of being home, I was able to walk and work at about 80% normal. Within the first ten days after my injury, people couldn’t tell that there was any problem with my back. And within two weeks, I was doing full workouts in the gym again. It has been a fast and amazing recovery for which I’m deeply grateful. :+)

So, here are the two reasons that I share my story with you now:

1. I believe that I quantum-leaped my healing process. There are energy tools and resources that are available to us any time we want to use them to create dramatic results quickly when we know what they are and what to do with them. And I will be teaching these proven tools, and personally guiding a small group of people to successfully use them, during my new Create Your Quantum Leap program starting January 10.

See www.CreateYourQuantumLeap.com for more information on the program, if you’re interested in learning how to intentionally create your own Quantum Leap. (You should know that it’s a limited group, and it’s first-come, first-served – check it out now so you can reserve your spot.)

I am deeply committed, and it is my life purpose, to teach the ways of inner illumination, connection to what matters and how to access the power of clarity. It is something that pulls me forward every day – it’s something that chooses me to be its ambassador and I am its servant.

It’s my honor to help people connect the dots to their success, both inner and outer, through using the gifts of spirit. The form of how I am doing it is evolving, so this may be the last time I teach the program. To be honest, I’m not yet sure what will come after this program and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people ask after the fact whether I’m going to repeat a program (most of the time, I don’t as I am on to the next thing); so, if you’re interested, now is the time to participate.

2. I just watched a Michael Jordan video. In it, he apologizes for making it look easy. He reminds you of his failures, his pain, and his commitment to daily habits to forge his legend that we see today.

And it occurred to me that people have said to me many times (especially recently) that they wish their life could be like mine, that they could do what I do, and that their life be as easy as mine. It isn’t easy for me to hear that because they know not what they ask.

I’m here to tell you that it’s not what happens to me, but how I handle it that matters because it’s as easy as I make it. I can fight what ‘is’ and resist what’s happening or I can learn from it and flow through it as simply as possible. It’s my choice. And the same goes for you.

After doing what I do for nearly 14 years now, being an innovator and a pioneer on the lonely leading-edge of energy work, conscious business and teaching people how to shine their light brighter, I need to tell you that it isn’t always easy. It might look that way but it’s because you are seeing the end of the story, the outcome of the way I choose to face it (vs. the occurrence or the gory details). And there’s a reason for that, which I’ll get to in a minute…

Anyway, since last year at this time, I have chosen to quantum leap my results. It’s been an amazing year of change, discovery and opportunity – and it has had its shadows too. Quantum leaping means looking at that which is likely to be uncomfortable so one can reclaim the power hidden in it and release the psychic weight that holds one back. It can feel daunting, to say the least. And I know now how to navigate that journey faster and easier because I’ve walked it (no pun intended!). :+) It’s what I now desire to share with others who are ready to Quantum Leap their lives and businesses.

In any case, I may not tell you all that’s happening with me, but it’s not because I don’t want you to know… it’s actually because I choose my focus to be on you in our work together.

So, if I have made it look too easy, or if I haven’t told you the hard parts of my journey because I believed it was more important to share with you the diamonds of the distilled teachings that I have mined along the way, I ask for your grace.

If you didn’t believe that I’m a real person living a real life and having to do the all-too-familiar daily dance of chores, self-care and prioritizing choices, I hope this message has changed that.

And if you didn’t know that failure, pain and big challenges are among the blessings I am most grateful for as my best teachers, I trust that you can know that now. (And I invite you to consider your best teachers up until now too.) :+)

Take a few minutes to be inspired by watching Michael Jordan’s video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEVCjUG1Mww

So, here’s to creating what you want in life and business by taking the energy of challenge and focusing it to the tipping point of dramatic shift. In two words, to intentionally ‘Quantum Leaping’ your success.

If you’d like to share who or what your biggest blessings up until now have been, or where you want to go in creating your Quantum Leap, I’d love to hear… please share it with me below.
